Common questions

How do I install the app?

Get it from the Downloads page — Windows and macOS are direct downloads, and iPhone/iPad is via TestFlight. The desktop app installs normally; on macOS, right-click the app the first time and choose Open if Gatekeeper prompts you.

Do I need an account?

No. There are no accounts and no sign-in. Your work stays on your device — see our Privacy Policy.

How do I connect the phone app to my computer?

By default the app connects to the hosted companion at https://tripoint.academy. To use your own desktop instead, open Settings → Academy URL in the app and enter the address shown in the desktop app’s sidebar (e.g. http://192.168.x.x:8401) on the same Wi‑Fi network.

Why does it ask for camera or local-network permission?

Camera is used only for the optional Augmented Reality features (processed live on your device, never recorded). Local network is used only to reach a desktop companion on your Wi‑Fi. You can decline either and keep using the rest of the app.

Where is my data, and how do I remove it?

Everything is stored locally. To remove it all, simply uninstall the app. Details are in the Privacy Policy.
